Margaret L. Ballou - Woonsocket

Mrs. Margaret L. (Blanchet) Ballou, 88, of Woonsocket, died Saturday morning, Aug. 2, at the Woonsocket Health Center.

She was the beloved wife of the late Walter Ballou. Born July 28, 1920, in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Eugene and Marie L. (Blais) Blanchet. She was a lifelong city resident. Mrs. Ballou was a homemaker. She leaves two sons, Walter Ballou of Pawtucket and Leo Ballou of Woonsocket; two daughters, Irene Balleux of Woonsocket and Diana Cote in New Hampshire; 18 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild; three brothers, Father Leo Blanchet and Frank Blanchet, both in Florida, and Eugene Blanchet of Woonsocket; and two sisters, Sister Louise Blanchet and Sister Florida Blanchet, both in Canada. She was the sister of the late Raymond, Adrian, Brother Normand and Teresa Blanchet and Beatrice Pelletier.

Calling hours will be held Friday from 9-10 a.m. with a service at 10 a.m. inside the Egidio DiPardo & Sons, 75 Harris Ave., Woonsocket. Burial will be private.
