Robert K. Smith Sr. - Lincoln

Robert K. Smith Sr., 89, of Sherman Avenue, Lincoln, died Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2010.

He was the husband of the late Helen (Aylward) Smith. Born in Melrose, Mass., he was a son of the late Frank J. and Carolyn (Gould) Smith. He was a veteran of the United States Army Air Force during World War II. Mr. Smith was a vocational photographer and taught in the Lincoln school department for many years. He leaves three sons, Jeffrey A. Smith of Lincoln, Robert K. Smith Jr. of Tenants Harbor, Maine, and Lawrence A. Smith of North Smithfield; several grandchildren; great-grandchildren; a sister, Natalie Binda of West Springfield, Mass.; and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Carol Roscio.

Visitation is omitted. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, Feb. 27, 2010, at 11 a.m. at St. Raymond’s Church, North Main Street, Providence. Private burial will be in Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to either the Lime Rock Baptist Church Food Pantry in Lincoln or the St. Raymond Food Pantry.
