CUMBERLAND - Howley Bread Group LTD., a franchisee of Panera Bread with headquarters in Cumberland, announced that its nineteen bakery-cafes throughout Rhode Island, Southeastern Massachusetts and Greater Hartford-Eastern Connecticut donated a total of $85,737.69 to its local Operation Dough-Nation partners in 2007.

Operation Dough-Nation is a program committed to ensuring that every purchase at Panera Bread feeds back into the community. Cash donations made in each bakery-cafe by customers were matched by Panera-HBG in 2007 and donated to local organizations.

Howley Bread Group's bakery cafe in Smithfield donated to its partner, Children's Friend & Service in Providence.
