DiNucci calls on NP voters to act

NORTH PROVIDENCE - Paula DiNucci, a candidate for state representative in the House District 55 Democratic primary, said in a press release, "We are now getting down to the wire. It is important that you voters be aware of your position in this battle to restore accountability in the management of the affairs of our state.

"District 55 is comprised of 11,462 registered voters. Of that total, 6722 are Democrats; 4190 are undeclared; 550 are Republicans. With this powerhouse of votes, why are we allowing the 'tail to wag the dog?' By your vote, each of you can turn around our deplorable state of affairs of the past 10 years.

"It is a disgrace that the working people of District 55 are being denied their entitlement to proper representation. Rather than offer the framework and progress reports of so-called accomplishments like balancing the budget, saving money, cutting expenditures, and furthering economic development, we're given vague references to 'would have, could have, should have' dialogue, empty rhetoric.

"It is my desire to use House Seat 55 to bring about productive and beneficial service to the Town of North Providence. This office should be working hand-in-glove with the Town of North Providence.

"Case in point is the Camp Meehan boondoggle. Since this issue is singularly a North Providence issue, and since the House representative is duty-bound to protect the town's interest in this matter, it is imperative that we have a strong, well-respected House member capable of achieving the desired results."
