Born in Pforzheim, Germany, a daughter of the late Wilhelm and Luise Hoffman Jaeger, Ella immigrated to this country in 1911 with her entire family. Prior to her marriage in 1927 to the late Howard T. Mooney, she was employed as a bookkeeper for the former Speidel Company in Providence. She leaves a daughter, Christine L. Mooney of Glocester; a granddaughter, Deborah L Rowley of Greenville; a grandson, Alan G. Gustafson of Glocester; five great-grandchildren, Stephen, Jason, Rebecca, Alana and Abigail; two great-great-grandchildren, Elizabeth and Jonathan; a daughter-in-law, Barbara Gustafson of Glocester; and several nieces and nephews. Ella was the mother of the late Howard T. Mooney Jr. and the sister of the late Helene Millmather, Louise Smith, Gertrude Stender and William and Eugene Jaeger.
Her funeral service will be held Saturday, Aug. 2, at 11 a.m. in the Anderson-Winfield Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Burial is in Acotes Hill Cemetery. For messages of condolence and directions, visit www.andersonwinfield.net.
