He was the son of Lillian Medeiros and the late John Medeiros Jr. He was the husband of Suzanne (Guerin) Medeiros; they had been married for 29 years. George’s passion was golf. He was a member of the Dennis Pines and Dennis Highlands golf courses. He won the 1999 Cape Cod Senior Amateur Championship at Hyannis Port Golf Club. He anxiously anticipated the annual Seagulls Tournament and qualified for the championship flight many times. He served with distinction as a member of the executive committee of the MGA as well as rules official for the USGA and the MGA golf tournaments. George will be greatly missed. Besides his wife he leaves two sons, Keith Medeiros and Jeffrey Medeiros, both in Connecticut; a brother, Jack Medeiros of Lincoln; and many nieces and nephews.
