Born in Cranston, she was the daughter of Shirley (Bishop) Harris of North Providence and the late James B. Harris. She was a graduate of Cumberland High School Class of 1998 and later attended Community College of Rhode Island. She worked for the National Grange Mutual Insurance Company of Auburn, Mass., and previously had worked for Kohls in North Dartmouth, Mass., and for the Citadel Broadcasting Corporation as a promotions and national sales representative. She was a former member of the Penguin Swim Team of the Cumberland Boys and Girls Club. Besides her beloved mother she also leaves several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Her funeral will be held Saturday, Aug. 9, 2008, at 11 a.m. in the J.J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road, Route 122, Cumberland. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Calling hours will be held 5-8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 8. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Providence Animal Rescue League, 34 Elbow Street, Providence, RI 02903.
