Thelma P. Dame - Scituate
Thelma P. Dame, 83, of Hartford Pike, Scituate, a secretary for the Ponaganset School System before retiring, died Saturday, Aug. 2, 2008, at Fatima Hospital.

She was the widow of Donald T. Dame. Born in Glocester, a daughter of the late Walter and Ella (Waterman) Steere, she had been a resident of Foster and Scituate. She was a founding member of the Ponaganset Band Parents Association and a member of the Grace Church Choir in Providence. She enjoyed painting with oils. She leaves her children, Donald T. Dame of Scituate, Kathleen P. Bowman of South Kingstown and Calista A. McDermott of Scituate; and two grandchildren, Scott Bowman and Cam McDermott. She was the sister of the late Harvey L. Steere and Marjorie L. Bruno.

Her funeral will be held Tuesday at a time to be announced in the *Anderson-Winfield Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Burial will follow in Acote’s Hill Cemetery. Visitation is Monday from 4-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Beacon Hospice, 1 Catamore Blvd., East Providence, RI 02914.
