DELRAY BEACH, Fla. - Julie Bartol and John Gibney have announced their wedding engagement. She is the daughter of Joseph and Annette Bartol of Saratoga Springs, N.Y. He is the son of Thomas and Elaine Gibney of Cumberland.

The bride-to-be graduated from Springfield College in 2001, and earned a master's degree in physical therapy in 2002. She is a physical therapist at Coral Springs Hospital, Coral Springs, Fla.

Her fiance graduated from Springfield College in 2001 with a degree in sports management, and earned a master's degree in industrial and organizational psychology in 2003. He is a manager of training for the Jardin Company in Boca Raton, Fla.

They are planning to marry on Oct. 4.
