JOHNSTON - Timothy and Carrie Carey announce the engagement of their daughter, Carissa Carey, to Edward Coutu II, son of Stan and Joyce Nadrowski, of Johnston, and the late Edward Coutu Sr.

The future bride graduated from Ponaganset High School in 2005 and attended the Community College of Rhode Island. She is employed at the Bright Start Academy Preschool and Daycare in Greenville.

The future groom attended Johnston High School. He is an inside sales representative with Cox Communications in Warwick.

The couple plans to wed in August 2011.
