JOHNSTON - Barney and Theresa Desrochers, of Johnston, celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on May 10. The couple renewed their wedding vows after the 4 p.m. Mass at Our Lady of Grace Church. The Rev. Msgr. Montecalvo officiated the ceremony. After the blessing, family and friends attended a party, given by their children, at Ralph's Bull and Claw Restaurant.

The couple was married on May 15, 1948, at St. Charles Church in Providence. Mrs. Desrochers is the former Theresa Boutin.

Mr. and Mrs. Desrochers are the parents of seven children. They have 16 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and three step great-grandchildren.
