CUMBERLAND - Stan and Fran Pikul celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on Aug. 8, with a party given by their children and grandchildren.

The couple was married on Aug. 7, 1948, at Sacred Heart Church, in Pawtucket. Mrs. Pikul is the former Fran Hebert. They are long-time Cumberland residents.

Mr. and Mrs. Pikul are the parents of Sandra Sillup and Stanley Pikul, of Cumberland, and Linda Rideout, of Warwick. They are the grandparents of Michael Rideout, Stephen Sillup, Kai Pikul and Malia Pikul.

Mr. Pikul owned his own contracting business. He is a graduate of Bryant University and has worked for IBM, and Fanning & Doorley.

Mrs. Pikul was employed by Paramount Cards in Central Falls for more than 20 years.
