SMITHFIELD - The Audubon Society of Rhode Island will host a butterfly walk at Napatree Point in Westerly, on Saturday, Sept. 6.

The bus will depart from the Audubon Powder Mill Ledges Refuge, 12 Sanderson Road, Smithfield, at 10 a.m. There will be a second pick-up in Richmond at the Park & Ride, Route 138 and I-95, at approximately 10:35 a.m.

At this time of year, the dunes are filled with Monarchs headed on their way south. The outing includes a 1.5 mile walk. Bring a lunch and binoculars. The program will not run in wet conditions.
