SMITHFIELD - The Smithfield Advisory Group (SAG) will meet on Thursday, May 15, at 8 a.m. at Fidelity Investments, 500 Salem St., Smithfield.
The Smithfield delegation of the Rhode Island General Assembly has been invited to attend this meeting. The lawmakers will update the attendees on the current session of the General Assembly as it relates to business issues. The lawmakers will also address the state's estimated $450 million budget deficit.
The Smithfield Advisory Group is a collaboration of the Northern Rhode Island and the North Central Chambers of Commerce. The mission of the SAG is to provide advocacy, information and leadership to Smithfield businesses and leaders, continually apprising the Chambers' boards of directors of community development issues, in an effort to foster an economically sound community
