He was the beloved husband of Mary (D’Agostino) Roderick and the late Ruby (Hopkins) Roderick. Born in South Providence, a son of Helen (Newsham) Roderick and the late Manuel Roderick, he had resided in North Scituate for most of his life. Mr. Roderick worked for Natco Products in West Warwick and Georgia for 42 years. He was an avid golfer, square dancer, and bowler, loved to fish and had been a little league coach. A devoted father he leaves a son, Robert Roderick II and his companion Debbie Provencher; two daughters, Donna Roderick and her husband George Grace and Sandra Lancaster and her husband Kent; and two stepchildren, Christine Armstrong and Richard Armstrong Jr. and his wife Kristi. He was the grandfather of Robert Roderick III, Meryl Roderick, Stephanie Farrar, Chase, Brett, and Shea Lancaster and Zachary, Grant and Amanda Armstrong. He also leaves a sister, Carolyn Murphy and three brothers, Manuel “Rod,” Kenneth and Donald Roderick.
His service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Tucker-Quinn Funeral Chapel, 643 Putnam Ave., Route 44, Greenville. Internment will be held at Highland Memorial Park, Johnston.
