SCITUATE - The next regular meeting of the Gentian Garden Club will be held Tuesday, Sept. 16, 7 p.m., at the North Scituate Community House, 116 West Greenville Road.

The program for the meeting will be "The Art of Forcing Bulbs," presented by member Layanee DeMerchant. The topic will focus on how to get bulbs to bloom in pots in early spring. Cindy Gianfrancesco, birds and conservation chairwoman, will speak on "Bobolinks and Meadowlarks of Lawton Farm." The public is invited. New members are welcome.
