Explorer Riverboat Tours on the Blackstone River depart every Sunday through Oct. 20, from Central Falls Landing on Madeira Avenue, Central Falls, at 1, 2, 3 and 4 p.m. A tour guide explains the ecology of the river and surrounding wetlands interspersed with stories about the people and history of the region. Adults $10, seniors and children $8. “Free Sundays” are the last Sunday of every month sponsored by Citizens Bank. Call 401-724-2200.

Participants need a minimum two-member team, one adult 18 years or older and one child under 18. Teams will decode clues, discover Rhode Island’s beautiful state parks and participate in fun activities and challenges - all for a chance to win great prizes. May Breakfast will be held at St. Agatha Parish Hall from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The all you can eat menu includes: scrambled eggs, French toast, sausage, beans, homefries, juice and coffee. Proceeds from the event will benefit youth and family programming. Tickets are available at St. Agatha and Precious Blood Rectory as well as at the door. Prices are $8 for adults, $6 for seniors and children under 10 with a family max of $30 per household.

Fundraiser and Raffle event to help a local 4-year-old with stage 4 cancer. Jaylee is a 4 year old Burrillville resident who was recently diagnosed with cancer. To help her family be there with her for her treatment and surgeries, I have organized a fundraiser to help raise money for her family. Our fabulous vendors have donated raffle items and will be selling their products to raise money for her family...Check out the Living Locket form Origami Owl, buy some candles from Scentsy, Wild Tree has preservative free spices (the adobo is wonderful), Celadon Road will have chemical free products, who doesnt love Tupperware?, Mary Kay will make you even more beautiful with their skin line, Thirty-One bags are pretty great (I have a few), It Works! "Greens" will give you 8 servings of fruits and veggies in 1 serving or try their crazy skinny wrap, decorate your home with Celebrating Home,Silpada will be there with their beautiful jewelry, Lets not forget Jamberry Nail Wraps lets get pretty summer nails, Vantel Pearls will join us too!, and more....dont forget your raffle tickets!!!All raffle proceeds go DIRECTLY to the family!!!
