On Monday evening, after an extension of the 10:30 p.m. curfew by the council in the midst of a discussion on the purchase of the 146-acre Gold property, a second extension of the curfew was negated by councilman Zwolinski's refusal to extend an additional 20 minutes. continue
During this particular time of the year, after clocks are set back, the Woonsocket Post Office letter carriers lose an hour of daylight each day for about three months (early November thru mid January). But they remain "on the road," finishing their deliveries in an environment that may create a less-than-ideal situation. During this time, your letter carrier needs you to help facilitate the delivery of your mail. continue
I would like to respond to the letter written by Theodore R. Vecchio Jr., "Candidate disappointed with election experiences" published in The Valley Breeze on Nov. 6. His situation is a perfect example of what seems to me a growing problem: the overwhelming influence of private money in politics. This issue is related to incumbency and lack of racial, gender, and socioeconomic diversity in all levels of government. continue
Every vote counts! We all see the importance of these words. I have heard many stories from people forgetting to apply for absentee ballots to people remembering to vote even as late as 8:50 p.m. In either case the outcome was set and I appreciate all those who voted and thank those who supported my campaign. continue
